What are the responsibilities and job description for the Durable Medical Equipment Specialist position at 15RX Pharmacy?
Strong knowledge DME billing and coding is crucial for this role. Computer skills including Excel required. Must have the ability to multi task in a fast paced environment, must be self motivated, must be confident calling private insurances, medicare/medicaid, verifying deductibles and prior authorizations.
Must be customer service focused and help customer choose the right DME product.
Experience and knowledge:
- DME billing and coding and reimbursement schedule experience 2 year(Required)
- Knowledge of calling physician office and getting necessary documentation
- Filing Prior Authorization to insurance companies for DME approval
- Strong knowledge of HCPCS codes for DME required
- Experience working with DME software like Brightree is required
- DME Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
- DME Knowledge/Experience: 1 Year (Preferred)
- Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
