Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Compounding Pharmacy Technician to join our team at 15RX Pharmacy #1. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pharmaceutical compounding practices, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medication Compounding: Prepare and compound non-sterile medications according to prescriptions or medication orders.
- Quality Control: Ensure all compounded medications meet quality standards and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Patient Safety: Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials and ensure the accurate labeling of all compounded medications.
- Inventory Management: Maintain and manage inventory of compounding supplies, including chemicals and equipment. Order and restock as necessary.
- Record Keeping: Accurately document compounding processes, including formulas, quantities, and any deviations from standard procedures.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent service to patients and healthcare providers, addressing questions and concerns related to compounded medications.
- Compliance: Adhere to all regulatory guidelines and standards, including those set by the USP (United States Pharmacopeia) and other governing bodies.
- Collaboration: Work closely with pharmacists to ensure that prescriptions are filled accurately and efficiently.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (additional certification or training preferred)
- Valid Pharmacy Technician license or certification (required)
- Previous experience as a Compounding Technician (preferred)
