What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Juvenile Internship position at 15th Judicial Circuit Court (FL)?
***THIS INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IS UNPAID. UP TO 15 HOURS PER WEEK.***
This internship will support the Juvenile Court Division and will be supervised by the Juvenile Court Operations Manager. Activities include working with members of the Juvenile team on various projects and initiatives in Juvenile Court at the Main Courthouse location. A primary responsibility involves supporting the Juvenile Court Summer Program on Fridays, which includes a full day of activities working with a group of court-involved youth, ages 13-18 at the South County Courthouse.
- Assist in the development, set up and facilitation of individual and group activities
- Support program participants in completion of court-ordered sanctions and program requirements
- Encourage participants to start timely, transition efficiently and remain on task throughout the day
- Creation and facilitation of presentations to group as needed
- Identify, update and maintain Juvenile Court resources
- Assist in the development of curriculum for Juvenile Court programs
- Identify community service opportunities and partnerships for court-involved youth in Palm Beach County
- Assist with completion of youth surveys data
- Work on juvenile division projects as requested
- Other duties as required
