Responsibilities
- Administer CDL Exams – Conduct Pre-Trip Inspections, Yard Skills, and Road Tests following state and federal guidelines
- Ensure Compliance & Safety – Evaluate candidates based on CDL testing standards while reinforcing safe driving habits
- Maintain Accurate Records – Document all examination results thoroughly to meet state regulatory requirements
- Provide Fair & Objective CDL Testing – Maintain professionalism and impartiality in all driver assessments
- Valid OHIOCDL Class A license (Must include tanker, school bus, and passenger endorsements if required by the state)
- Minimum 3 years of CDL A driving experience
- Safe driving record and ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol screening
- Physical ability to operate a Class A motor vehicle safely
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Thorough knowledge of CDL driving standards, regulations, and best practices
- Basic computer skills for record-keeping and scheduling
- Availability to work Monday through Friday
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience as a CDL instructor is a plus but not required
- Local, steady work schedule with no overnight travel
- Hourly pay based on experience
