This VP of Human Resources role contributes to the health and success of the business by recognizing business priorities and proactively collaborating with company leaders to identify, develop, and drive HR strategies that meet the needs of the organization and its employees.
The VP will act as a trusted and empowered HR partner to influence stakeholders, advise business leaders on organizational design, talent management, compensation, employee relations and best practices, while also advocating for employees and cultivating an inclusive and transparent workplace. This person will promote change and foster productive and positive cross-functional relationships in all parts of the company.
The VP is responsible for key aspects of the HR function including employee relations, performance management, employee engagement and the implementation of programs & initiatives for the 160/90, IMG Licensing & Non-Scripted Content client groups.
Key Responsibilities:
- HR Partnership: Collaborate with senior leadership of businesses supported to align HR initiatives with business goals, providing data-driven insights and solutions to influence decision-making.
- Leadership Coaching: Act as a coach and advisor to business unit executives, fostering leadership capabilities and aligning team performance with company objectives.
- Talent Identification & Management : Coordinate with business leadership to understand staffing needs, prospective openings, and position requirements; forecast changes in staffing and maintain movement in the talent pipeline to maximize long-term productivity.
- Employee Relations : Thoroughly investigate any potential employee relations issues, discrimination, harassment, or any other employee disputes, effectively present findings to the appropriate parties.
- Talent Development: Oversee programs that identify, develop, engage and retain talent, including onboarding, performance management, compensation administration and learning and development solutions.
- Change Management: Design and implement change management strategies to support business transformation, ensuring seamless transitions and employee buy-in.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI): Champion DEI strategies to foster an inclusive and equitable workplace that reflects the company’s values and culture.
- HR Policy & Compliance: Maintain ethical and legal integrity for the assigned businesses. Coordinate training on, and compliance with, local laws and regulations, including health and safety regulations, anti-harassment and non-discrimination policies, and employee conduct guidelines. Ensure fair and consistent application of company policy and regulation while promoting positive employee morale.
- Metrics & Reporting: Utilize HR analytics to assess workforce trends, measure the success of HR initiatives, and guide HR planning.
- Collaboration: Partner with the broader HR team to align functional expertise with business needs, ensuring seamless delivery of HR services.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years in a strategic HRBP role. Minium of 5 years managing a team, ideally distributed. Global experience a plus.
- Tools & Technology: Previous experience using Workday or similar HRIS systems and Microsoft office.
- Industries: Previous experience in companies within the entertainment, sports, fashion, or media industry highly desired.
- Certifications: HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, etc.) are a plus.
- Education: Degree(s) in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Management, or related field preferred.
Skills & Capabilities:
- Strong business acumen with the ability to understand and align HR strategies with organizational objectives.
- Proven expertise in organizational design, workforce planning, change management and employee relations. Experience with recruitment is a plus. A strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR operations.
