Job Summary:
The Claims Processor is responsible for claims processing of new and existing claims and all correspondence related to claims.
Essential Functions:
• Complete outbound calls to insurance carriers to file claims on behalf of clients.
• Participate in inter/intraoffice discussions and problem solving.
• Complete timely review and entry of new losses.
• Determine if coverage is in place and send documentation to insurance carriers.
• Follow up with carriers to ensure proper documentation of acknowledgements, determinations and final settlements.
• Review all determinations and discuss with carrier adjustors or TPAs.
• Maintain SOPs for all claims processes.
• Applies understanding of insurance policies and policy interpretation to assist clients and carriers with claim settlement.
• Assist Account Service Managers, Producers, and Clients with claims questions or issues.
• Escalate complex claim questions to VP Lender Services and Placement.
• Complete claims reporting to Account Service Managers, Producers, Clients and Loan Protector Leadership.
• Maintain an average productivity percentage of 70%.
Education and/or Experience:
• Prior insurance, insurance claims, or insurance agency processing a plus.
• High School diploma required. Associate or Bachelor degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience with Insurance Agency Management System (Applied or AMS).
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Technical learning with strong desire to learn and acquire new skills.
• Ability to adapt to a changing environment and handle multiple priorities to meet deadlines.
• Ability to multitask.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Work Environment:
• This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:
• Repetitive motion. Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day
• Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day
• Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor
• Sedentary position. Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day
• Worker not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions
Pay Ranges:
Any posted pay range considers a wide range of compensation factors, including skills, experience, work location and more. We offer competitive pay while still allowing for compensation growth within the position and company.

Pay Range
17 - 18 HourlyThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
