Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and self-driven Information Technology (IT) Intern to join our team. The IT Intern will play a key role in assisting their fellow teammates with day-to-day tasks and projects. This could include asset inventory/management, providing technical assistance, maintaining computer systems, and configuring hardware/software. The successful candidate will be able to follow specific instructions, perform minor troubleshooting tasks, assist with onboarding and offboarding of IT assets and provide support to team members.
Essential Duties and Functions: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Perform asset management, verification, and authentication tasks.
- Assist teammates with technical assistance.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot computer systems.
- Monitor system activities.
- Follow established procedures and processes for computer maintenance.
- Follow established procedures and processes for the onboarding and offboarding of assets.
- Perform tasks necessary to evaluate a computer systems performance and functionality.
- Maintain accurate records and reports.

Required
- Have or pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Knowledge of computer systems and software.
- Familiarity with hardware and software installation.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology.
Physical Requirements Necessary on a Regular Basis:
- Manual dexterity, arm and upper body range of motion sufficient for use of a keyboard, mouse and telephone 7-8 hours per day.
- Speech and hearing sufficient for in-person and telephone communication 7-8 hours per day.
- Vision sufficient for use of a computer monitor.
- Ability to sit at a desk 7-8 hours per day.
- Repetitive motion.
- Sedentary position.
- Worker not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
- Lifting and carrying (> and/or <25 lbs.)
