Primary clinical duties include collecting blood specimens by venipuncture (in accordance with National Committee for Clinical Laboratory Standards) and assisting with the delivery of various occupational health services including substance abuse specimen collection and vital sign measurements. Clerical duties include data entry, organizing test results as well as phone coverage. Essential Functions All team members are expected to be knowledgeable and compliant with Prisma Health's values: Inspire health. Serve with compassion. Be the difference. Performs blood specimen collection for laboratory testing. Prepares blood samples for testing (centrifuge and packing). Performs/assists with audiograms, PFTs, vision screening and related testing. Assists with health assessments. Conducts substance abuse specimen collection for testing. Provides clinical duties at various statewide locations, as requested. Compiles, sorts, and organizes lab work and related information for view and distribution. Verifies laboratory bill for accuracy. Performs other duties as assigned. Supervisory/Management Responsibilities This is a non-management job that report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive. Minimum Requirements Education - High School diploma or equivalent Experience - One (1) year phlebotomy experience with venipuncture In Lieu Of NA Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses BLS certification Certificate in phlebotomy from an accredited program preferred.
