1736 Family Crisis Center offers crisis intervention services, including four 24- hour hotlines, as well as longer-term services in client advocacy and outpatient psychotherapy. The residential counseling and support services include shelter programs for (1) runaway and homeless adolescents, (2) domestic violence and human trafficking victims and their children (emergency and transitional programs (3) Homeless prevention and rapid re-housing services for the general population and Veterans and their families. Community outreach programs are provided to educate the public and prevent mental-health problems in the general population and in targeted groups to at-risk populations.
Position Summary:
1736 Family Crisis Center is currently seeking a licensed/unlicensed mental health clinician to provide direct service to clients in various programs throughout Los Angeles County. Candidates should have knowledge of trauma-informed practices and experience working with youth, runaway/homeless, human trafficking and domestic violence survivors and substance use. The ideal candidate is familiar with DMH billing and documentation guidelines, is well-organized, and is able to manage client crises. Candidates must hold a MA in Psychology or a related field and be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Therapists are responsible for the following:
- Provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy to clients ages 0 to 99. Primary target population is youth under 18 years of age.
- Conduct diagnostic assessments, work collaboratively with clients to develop comprehensive treatment plans, and work with children and adolescents to address their mental health, behavioral, and substance use concerns.
- Coordinate and participate in outreach events
- Conduct group therapy and psychoeducation groups for youth and their families.
- Manage client crises and establish safety plans, when necessary.
- Maintain client charts by completing and filing clinical documentation within 24 hours.
- Attend trainings on and off-site to ensure best practices are being used with clients.
- Participate in weekly individual and group supervision.
- Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings with Case Managers and the Psychiatrist, as needed.
- Provide linkage and referral as needed to clients ending treatment.
- Always display professional behavior with staff and clients and maintain appropriate boundaries with clients in the community, outpatient, and residential setting.
- Travel to various sites is required, work in multiple settings.
- Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:
- Must have completed a Master's Degree Program in Psychology, Social Work or a related field (Required)
- LCSW Licensed Clinical Social Worker or LMFT Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (Preferred)
- Bilingual English/Spanish (Preferred)
- Must be registered with the CA Board of Behavioral Sciences
- Must pass background check
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:
- Knowledge and experience with Department of Mental Health documentation.
- Knowledge and experience in CORS, Seeking Safety, CPP, or PCIT preferred.

Salary : $62,000 - $65,000
