Summary
As a Crisis Counselor at 180 Degree Support Services, you will play a vital role in providing immediate support and intervention for individuals facing mental health crises. This position is essential in helping clients stabilize their situations while promoting their overall well-being within the community.
Services: Mobile Crisis and Community Stabilization
Responsibilities
- Be well-connected in the Region 3 area (South Boston, Halifax and surrounding areas) to Community Services Boards (CSBs), hospitals, and other community partners.
- Assist with compiling hours and authorizations for billing.
- Conduct the client intake process and set up client charts
- Supervise region 3 crisis counselor(s)
- Render services daily to clients experiencing an acute psychiatric crisis.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques and strategies with clientele.
- Maintain case load, records and document services rendered.
- Abide fully by HIPAA Law and Confidentiality with Clients.
- Connect clients with Community Resources and Care Coordination.
- Create a thorough and comprehensive active discharge plan for clients.
- Be apart of a 2 person mobile crisis team
Requirements
- QMHP Certification
- Mobile crisis training certification
