Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Maintain the accountability of high-risk offenders in the community by use of monitoring check-ins, GPS movement, and daily schedules.
- Detect and disrupt the flow of contraband into the facility
- Administer urine and breath tests to determine the use/non-use of drugs and alcohol.
- Complete hourly rounds, ensuring the security of the facility.
- Use knowledge of de-escalation tactics to successfully navigate potentially volatile situations.
- Observe and document all notable client behavior, including those that may pose a threat to staff, clients, or the general public.
- Always maintain a high level of situational awareness by use of surveillance cameras to ensure the safety of staff and residents in the facility.
- Maintain a high degree of professionalism and quality of service within the organization, as well as with agency partners.
Location
This role is an in person position on our Clifton Place out of our Minneapolis, MN location.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age: 21.
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2 – 4 years related experience and/or pursuing a degree in criminal justice
- Training in de-escalation techniques, trauma-informed care and evidence-based practices, including motivational interviewing, is helpful
- Prior case management experience preferred
- Dependable transportation.
- Valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Ability to clear a Department of Human Services background screening.
- Lived experience in place of certain credentials will be considered for all positions.
