D escription for Field Service Technician :
The Field Service Technician will be frequently traveling to major client sites for the installation and maintenance support of complex warehouse automation systems. The Field Service Tech should be knowledgeable in both electrical and mechanical systems with some exposure to basic networking. He / She will be expected to be self-motivated and work as part of a team to resolve customer issues and determine root cause of given issues.
Responsibilities for Field Service Technician :
- Install, Locate and Configure devices and hardware such as : ScalesPrint and Apply Labeling MachinesLabel PrintersBarcode ScannersDimensionersConveyor Beds (24 VDC and 480 VAC)Industrial IO80 / 20 FramingCase SealersDocument InsertersPick to Light SystemsWork Stations
- Setup equipment using applicable software tools, documentation and engineered drawings.
- Participate in the systematic testing and tuning of all components of a customers conveyor system during install.
- Perform preventive maintenance on customer equipment per preventive maintenance check lists and suggest corrective measures to the customer.
- Troubleshoot and correct mechanical, electrical and network issues on customer equipment while onsite and remotely.
