Production Master Scheduler (Direct Hire)
Crystal Lake, IL
Annual Salary Range: $80 – 110K. Individual salaries are based on education, geographic location, and alignment to the market data.
Responsibilities for Production Master Scheduler:
- Develop production schedules, reports, and spreadsheets for assigned production departments, using internal computer software programs, and report schedule status to management daily.
- Serve as primary point of contact with multiple departments including sales, manufacturing, customer service, and purchasing to coordinate the scheduling of all jobs.
- Provide direction and support to scheduling team.
- Review and plan production capacity to meet customer due dates.
- Coordinate with department managers to ensure product is progressing through production in a timely manner to meet deadlines.
- Create production job and maintain packets for customer orders and stock runs.
- Requisition material for shortfall requirements with a focus on JIT inventory.
- Review and allocate material in the MRP system based on order requirements.
- Review machine capacity against ready hours.
- Update MRP with job status changes.
- Work with Buyer on release requirements from supplier warehouses (JIT).
- Initiate any site transfer requests required to run upcoming jobs.
- Additional duties as requested/assigned.
Requirements for Production Master Scheduler:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent previous experience required
- 5 years of progressively responsible planning and/or scheduling experience in a production environment
- 2 years of experience in a Lead Scheduling role is preferred.
- MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Outlook experience required
- Strong MRP/ERP systems experience required, Radius ERP experience preferred.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking abilities
- Strong project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Works well with other departments in communication of timelines, priorities and resolving ambiguous tasks/situations.
Salary : $80,000 - $110,000
