n for Staff Electrical Engineer :
The Staff Electrical Systems Engineer will take a lead role in developing electronics hardware, firmware, and software for organ transport devices and systems.
Responsibilities for Staff Electrical Engineer :
Maintain and improve electronics hardware and systems in current products. This may include hands-on troubleshooting, design changes to address problems or new regulatory requirements, improvements in features and reliability, and proactive design changes in response to component obsolescence.
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand user needs and improve existing products and develop new products which meet those needs. May perform technical assessment of competitive system designs.
Responsible for electronic and software system development as a technical contributor and as a team leader.
For electronic and electrical designs, responsible for documentation and transfer to manufacturing and external suppliers.
Hands-on responsibility for detailed circuit design, simulation, prototype construction, in-house testing, and external system testing to meet regulatory requirements.
For firmware and software development, will be responsible for closely managing internal and external developers. May write code as a technical contributor.
Mentor other associates and help them improve their electronics knowledge and skill.
Have a key role in the continuous improvement of processes and procedures for design control and regulatory compliance of electronics and software in products.
Must have had at least eight years post-degree work experience in the design and development of electronic and software devices and products in industry.
Work should have been in a range of applications or industries and demonstrate broad, rather than highly specialized, experience.
Work experience should demonstrate practical ability to integrate electronics. firmware, and software into complex systems.
Must have experience developing products and systems from initial concept through design, prototyping, testing, and to full production realization.
Must have had direct experience taking products through a regulated test and certification process such as UL, TUV, or CE.
Must have experience developing electronics and software for medical devices.
Experience in project management is desirable.
Must have a solid grounding in electrical and electronic principles and theory.
Must be knowledgeable in a wide range of electronics, including analog, digital, power supplies, EMI / EMC compliance, sensors, and embedded firmware.
Must have at least basic skill in software programming in C, C , C
or equivalent languages.
Must have experience using computer-aided-design software for schematic design, simulation, and circuit board layout. Must have strong practical knowledge of circuit board production and testing methods.
Must have practical experience in experimental measurements, data collection, and statistical analysis.
In-depth knowledge of applicable electrical regulations and testing, such as IEC-60601, is highly desirable.
