JOB DESCRIPTION
180 the Store, a luxury retail/lifestyle store/event space in Tribeca and Amagansett is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented, and highly organized Assistant Operations Manager to join our team. This individual will play a key role in overseeing store operations, managing e-commerce activities, and ensuring a seamless customer journey across all touchpoints.
As an Assistant Operations Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations within our Tribeca and Amagansett locations and managing our e-commerce platform on Shopify. You will ensure that the in-store and online customer experiences align with our brand's luxury and quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of Shopify’s e-commerce functionalities, inventory management, and the ability to execute strategies that optimize both physical and digital sales channels.
Key Responsibilities:
- E-Commerce Management:
- Manage and optimize our Shopify platform to ensure a seamless online shopping experience for customers.
- Regularly update product listings, prices, and descriptions in accordance with the latest inventory and promotions.
- Oversee product photography and content updates to maintain high visual standards on the website.
- Collaborate with marketing to plan, execute, and monitor e-commerce campaigns and product launches.
- Inventory Management Across Multiple Locations:
- Oversee and coordinate inventory between our Tribeca and Amagansett locations and the online store, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient inventory flow.
- Monitor stock movement between stores and ensure seamless transfers of products to meet demand at both locations.
- Work closely with logistics teams to manage shipments and ensure timely product deliveries across locations.
- Conduct regular inventory audits to track stock accuracy at both stores and the e-commerce platform.
- Analyze inventory trends and coordinate product allocations to optimize product availability in-store and online.
- Customer Experience & Sales Support:
- Work closely with customer service to resolve any online or in-store customer issues, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction.
- Assist in training staff on store procedures and Shopify platform updates to ensure smooth operations across channels.
- Assist in handling VIP client orders and ensure timely delivery and communication.
- Operational Efficiency:
- Support the day-to-day operational needs of both stores, including staffing, logistics, and in-store maintenance.
- Assist with developing and implementing operational procedures and policies that ensure consistent quality standards across both locations.
- Assist with administrative duties, including reporting and monitoring performance metrics.
- Team Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with all team members, ensuring smooth workflow and coordination between both locations and departments.
- Work with both the Tribeca and Amagansett teams to ensure the success of promotions, product launches, and seasonal transitions.
- Collaborate with store leadership to ensure operational needs are met and customer expectations are exceeded at both locations.
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in retail operations, preferably in the luxury retail sector.
- Extensive experience working with Shopify and understanding its e-commerce capabilities, including product uploads, order management, and integrations.
- Strong understanding of inventory management systems and processes across multiple locations.
- Proven ability to drive operational efficiency and solve problems creatively.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with great attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- A passion for luxury retail and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Ability to analyze sales and operational data to drive business decisions.
- Experience in managing a team or leading cross-functional initiatives is a plus.
- Ability to manage inventory and coordinate logistics between multiple store locations.
