Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Head Chef to lead our culinary team in creating exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and hospitality, along with strong leadership skills to manage kitchen operations effectively. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for menu development, food preparation, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

  • Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality food production.
  • Develop and design innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing training and guidance to ensure optimal performance and teamwork.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimizing waste.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen environment.
  • Collaborate with catering teams for special events, ensuring all culinary needs are met.
  • Monitor food presentation and portion control to maintain consistency in quality.
  • Handle shift management responsibilities, including scheduling staff and managing labor costs.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in the kitchen.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Experience in restaurant management, including inventory management and cost control.
  • Ability to create diverse menus that cater to various dietary needs and preferences.
  • Strong communication skills, with a focus on hospitality and customer satisfaction.
  • Previous experience in catering is a plus but not required.
  • A passion for cooking and a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes consistently.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
