We are seeking an experienced Principal or Staff Analog Electrical Design Engineer to provide cutting-edge analog design solutions and technical support for high-reliability space and military projects. You will work on complex missions for intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance systems, developing advanced designs capable of operating in extreme environments, including harsh EMI conditions and space-based radiation effects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and validate high-reliability analog electrical solutions for critical space and military missions.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems at the component and system levels, ensuring failure-free designs.
- Conduct signal integrity analysis, worst-case scenario analysis, and performance modeling over mission life in extreme conditions.
- Collaborate with program teams to develop innovative design concepts and perform trades to optimize performance.
- Engage with customers, vendors, and internal teams to communicate technical progress and participate in formal reviews.
- Lead validation testing for flight and ground applications, ensuring that designs meet stringent reliability requirements.
- Support proposal activities by providing technical expertise on analog design solutions.
- Design advanced electro-optical instruments, leveraging experience with CCDs, photodiodes, lasers, and other components.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; MS preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in analog electrical engineering, with a strong focus on high-reliability space and military systems.
- Proven experience in original analog design, system troubleshooting, and validation testing.
- Expertise in design and analysis tools such as PSPICE, Hyperlynx, Matlab, and Mathcad.
- Experience with electro-optical instruments (CCDs, photodiodes, lasers) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with power electronics, motor drive design, and government contract work (DoD systems) is a plus.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance. U.S. citizenship is required.
