The Senior Director, Operations is responsible for the management, direction and leadership of our fulfillment operation in St. Louis, MO. This position is responsible for site culture and employee engagement. This position is also responsible for ensuring that quality, cost, and service targets along with client-specific SLA requirements are met. This includes planning, coordinating and directing order production for dispensing, and verification of prescriptions within corporate and regulatory guidelines. This position manages a portfolio of projects, drives change management and rollout to core pharmacies. The Senior Director, Operations is responsible for creating annual strategic plans for site operations and is accountable to set and manage budget to meet corporate cost-per-fill goals. In addition, this position will frequently provide site production and cost reporting updates to Senior Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Responsible for managing and driving the execution of a portfolio of projects across the Express Scripts Pharmacy, delegating responsibility to team members, project support resources and core site pharmacy leaders for driving change management.
- Ensure quality and service standards are maintained along with client-specific contractual requirements. Oversees implementation of new clients. Foster ongoing client relationships by troubleshooting escalated issues.
- Responsible for managing the pharmacy performance to cost-to-fill, HD service level targets, DPMO target, performance reviews, continuous improvement and development of Mail Order team members.
- Develop and build leadership talent and capability within the team and direct reports. Provide stretch learning and development assignments to leaders.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or 15 or more years of experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree.
- Proven leadership skills, team-orientation, and a proactive and optimistic management style.
- Ability to identify opportunities for process improvement and continuous improvement and successfully execute recommended changes.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally and on an enterprise level.
- Excellent verbal and written communications and presentation skills.
- Excellent PC Skills including Microsoft Office suite, Internet and Outlook.
- Ability to work cross-functionally to solve complex problems and improve quality and service.
- Ability to manage toward budget, service and quality goals.
