Essential Function
- Identify, evaluate, and select qualified suppliers based on factors such as price, quality, delivery and reliability.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors.
- Monitor vendor performance and address any issues that arise.
- Monitor and champion the internal PO process.
- Build trust and rapport with operational leaders throughout the company.
- Collaborate closely with the finance team to align the purchasing budgets.
- Understand industry trends and best practices in procurement.
- Complete other assigned duties.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of procurement principles and best practices
- Willingness to travel to other company locations quarterly.
- Experience in the oil and gas industry (preferred)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain management (preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: Base Salary- $60k DOE
Company Requirements
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check to company standards.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
Work Environment and Physical Demands: (Depending on environment)
- Less than 50% of the time will be spent kneeling, bending, squatting, walking, and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- More than 50% of the time will be spent sedentary working on a computer
- This is an everyday onsite position (remote work is not available)
- Must be tolerant of shop like conditions, dirt, oil, dust, etc.
