Position Summary:
The QA/QC Manager is responsible for overseeing quality assurance programs, ensuring the identification of critical control points, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high product quality. They manage data tracking, monitor production processes, and review quality specifications, focusing on compliance with industry standards such as ASME/NBIC codes. The role involves working closely with production, engineering, and development teams, leading corrective action activities, conducting audits, and supporting new product introductions. This manager also promotes company-wide quality improvements and engages with customers and suppliers to resolve quality-related issues.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Manages quality assurance programs to identify critical control points and preventative measures, establishes critical limits and monitors procedures, and implements corrective actions and verification procedures
- Achieves quality assurance objectives by tracking information, data and reports to implement change and initiate corrective actions
- Leads internal and external corrective action activity related to system/products requiring CAPA’S
- Validates quality process specifications and quality attributes, measures production, documents evidence, determines operational and performance qualifications, reviews non-conforming logs.
- Effectively interacts with Production, Engineering and Development teams to ensure product quality
- Determines and enforces quality standards within quality control system and applicable ASME/NBIC code requirements
- Organizes and promotes company-wide quality improvement efforts
- Travels to customer and supplier sites when necessary
- Partners with customers and internal business units to resolve issues
- Regularly communicates with customers and internal departments on quality matters and supports greater quality department with supplier related issues
- Conduct Quality audits of manufacturing processes and parts
- Supports team for all new product introductions and engineering changes to verify quality documentation is correct and assist with NPI signoff
Participates in team meetings, documents action items, and keeps team apprised of customer concerns
Requirements:
Must have a “safety first” mentality- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to work long hours, weekends, and be on-call as needed
- Must pass a drug/alcohol test and background check
- Must be Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with ASME/NBIC Code, specially ASME Sec. VIII Div. I
- 5 year’s related experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting preferred
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders
- Attention to detail and quality
- Must possess demonstrated ability to use statistical tools and performance measuring system analysis and methods
- Experience in a sheet metal manufacturing environment, LEAN Six Sigma, Green Belt, CQE and/or ISO 9000 Auditing preferred
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills include the ability to negotiate and resolve conflicts and build teams
- Excellent organizational skills
- Effective organizational, planning and project management abilities
- Ability to function independently and deal with multiple, simultaneous projects
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
- Physical tasks include lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working at heights
- The position may require travel to various field locations within Colorado, including remote areas
- Must adhere to safety protocols and always wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be able to commute to Midland, TX.
Overtime: Eligible for overtime pay after 40 hours per week, as needed
Compensation: Salary $95k - $110k per year

Salary : $95,000 - $110,000
