Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Inspector (QA Inspector) to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that materials and products meet the company's stringent quality standards during the manufacturing process. The QA Inspector will be responsible for reviewing products, conducting quality tests, and identifying defects to maintain optimal production quality.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Measure and compare objects against their intended physical specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Inspect materials and products throughout the manufacturing process to identify any defects or deviations from quality standards.
- Perform various quality tests to assess the integrity and functionality of materials and finished products.
- Document and report defects, irregularities, or any issues that could affect the project's quality standards.
- Collaborate with the manufacturing team to address quality concerns and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and quality control procedures during inspections.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and product status.
- Ensure that work areas are safe and organized, following all safety guidelines and procedures
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar quality control role, ideally within construction or manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and discrepancies.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings, specifications, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures and relevant testing equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with other team members.
- Must have a “safety first” mentality
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must pass a drug/alcohol test and background check
- Must be Legally authorized to work in the United States
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar quality control role, ideally within construction or manufacturing
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks for extended periods
- Work is performed outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain
- Physical tasks include lifting heavy objects, standing for long periods, and working at heights
- The position may require travel to various field locations within Colorado, including remote areas
- Must adhere to safety protocols and always wear personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must be able to commute to Ault, CO daily
Compensation and Benefits:
Salary: $26 - $28 per hour, depending on experience
Overtime: Eligible for overtime pay after 40 hours per week, as needed
