The Analyst Business Intelligence will work with teammates and our clients to understand their problems and come up with innovative solutions that drive operational efficiency. To be successful in this role a person must continuously learn new technologies and methods, collaborate with clients and team
members to understand the business problems and show grit in solving those problems. The ideal candidate will have experience in analysis and requirements gathering, an understanding of data storage engines (databases) and experience with a business intelligence tool. You will be challenged by a variety of tasks, across several industries. Initially focus will be for solutions for electric utilities but that is only the start, manufacturing, transportation, water, oil, gas and chemicals are potential solutionareas. - Assists in data visualizations and dashboards development to tell stories that help drive business outcomes.
- Assists in the design and development of data pipelines to ingest, transform, and cleanse data.
- Build analytics and models supporting a variety of domains and use cases.
- Assists in the development of data capture and data integration processes.
- Assists in research and compiling information for senior project team members.
- Applying basic practice and principles supporting data analysis practices.
- Desire to grow technical capabilities toward a data visualization expert, data engineer or data scientist
- All other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field from an accredited program or an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science and 2 years of related professional experience or a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of related professional experience.
- Minimum of a 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred.
- Software development skills; SQL, Python or similar is preferred.
- Prior internship and/or related consulting experience is preferred
- Basic knowledge in implementation technologies, principles and procedures.
- Experience with databases, analytics, data science, software development or business intelligence tools is preferred.
- General understanding of data and has built dashboards and reports that help to drive decision making outcomes.
- Understanding of electric utilities, manufacturing, oil gas & chemicals a preferred
- Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills.
- Proficient computer skills (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).
- Basic computer skills in implementation software and technologies.
- Insatiable appetite for learning.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, restrictions, or need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.
