Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced server with a deep understanding of fine dining service and wine pairings to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality, an appreciation for fine cuisine, and an in-depth knowledge of wines to assist guests in their culinary and beverage selections. As a server, you will play an integral role in ensuring our guests have an exceptional dining experience from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide an exceptional dining experience by delivering attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly service to all guests.
• Present and explain menu items, including daily specials, while making personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of wine varieties, regions, and food pairings, and offer expert guidance to guests when selecting wines.
• Take and deliver food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain an in-depth knowledge of all menu items, including preparation techniques, ingredients, and allergens.
• Ensure the dining area is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.
• Assist with the setup, maintenance, and breakdown of the dining area, including resetting tables between courses and after guests leave.
• Work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
• Handle customer inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure all guests have a positive experience.
• Stay updated on wine trends, seasonal menu changes, and new culinary techniques to enhance knowledge and provide up-to-date recommendations.

Qualifications:

• At least 2-3 years of experience as a server in a fine dining environment.
• Extensive knowledge of wine, including various types, regions, and food pairings.
• Certification in wine education (e.g., Sommelier, WSET) is a plus.
• Strong understanding of fine dining etiquette and standards.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• A passion for food, wine, and hospitality.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Positive attitude, attention to detail, and a team player mentality.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
• Ability to carry and balance trays, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform other physical tasks as required by the job.
