19six is seeking a highly motivated and experience Project Accountant to work in either our Roseville, midtown Sacramento, or San Luis Obispo office.
The Project Accountant is primarily responsible for carrying out all aspects of the monthly billing cycle; from coordinating billing with Project Managers, to preparation of consultant contracts, inputting monthly consultant expenses, oversight of collections, etc. They will be asked to provide additional support to the Finance Manager and/or Director of Finance as necessary.
PRIMARY ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate monthly billing with multiple project managers firm-wide, in a timely manner.
- Prepare consultant contracts.
- Enter consultant expense accruals into ERP software.
- Review Certificates of Insurance to ensure accuracy.
- Accounts Receivable management.
- Forecast coordination.
- Review internal proposal letters.
- Other duties as assigned.
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business is preferred.
- Five plus (5 ) years accounting-related experience, preferably with an architectural or construction firm.
- Full understanding and familiarity will billing cycles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook)is required.
- Reliable and personable; enjoys working with a wide range of personalities and individuals.
- Highly motivated, positive and ability to problem solve.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to communicate in an articulate manner (both written & verbal) and be accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment.
