Position: Data Product Owner – Financial Services
Location: Jersey City
Hybrid: 3 days on site
Job Description: We're seeking an experienced Product Owner with a strong background in financial data management and delivery. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in data products, combining technical knowledge with business acumen in the financial services sector.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Product Owner in financial services
- Previous experience as a Program/Project Manager specifically for data initiatives
- Strong understanding of data architecture, including data consumption, storage, and access patterns
- Demonstrated success working in Agile environments
- Experience creating and managing product roadmaps for data-driven solutions
Required Skills:
- Strong stakeholder management
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving
- Understanding of financial markets and products
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts for business audiences
- Experience with data modeling and visualization
Technical Knowledge Required:
- Data warehouse concepts and implementation
- Data governance and quality management
- ETL processes and data integration
- Business intelligence and reporting tools
- Data security and compliance requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in equities trading or processing
- Knowledge of market data systems
- Familiarity with regulatory reporting requirements
- Scrum certification (CSPO or similar)
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the product vision and roadmap for data solutions
- Prioritize and manage the product backlog
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and refine requirements
- Work closely with development teams to ensure successful delivery
