What are the responsibilities and job description for the PV Solar/ Battery Technician position at 1Solar?
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Battery Technician for residential home back up and storage installs. We would prefer if you have experience in PV/Solar but if you have your Journeyman License we can train you on Batteries and Solar. Pay is based on experience and volume of jobs successfully completed and is your path to the higher paid lead opportunities.

- Proven experience working with computer hardware and low voltage electrical systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience with mechanical systems.
- Experience with computer networking and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with schematics and the ability to use them to diagnose and troubleshoot problems.
- Experience with ohmmeters and voltmeters and the ability to use them to test electrical systems.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and work independently.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain PV solar and battery systems, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to execute installations accurately.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools for fixture installation and repairs.
- Conduct field service assessments, troubleshooting electrical systems using voltmeters and ohmmeters.
- Collaborate with construction teams on-site to ensure efficient project execution.
- Adhere to high voltage and low voltage safety protocols while working on electrical systems.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32.00 - $50.00 per hour
