Retail Banking Specialist

Position Overview:
The Retail Banking Specialist plays a key role in delivering exceptional service to our customers. Combining responsibilities from both Teller and Personal Banking roles, this position is essential in meeting customers' financial needs, ensuring accurate transactions, providing knowledgeable guidance on bank products, and building lasting customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform accurate and efficient teller transactions, including deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, check cashing, and issuing cashiers check.
• Open and maintain customer accounts (checking, savings, certificates of deposit, IRAs, etc.) with precision and care.
• Assess customers' financial needs to proactively offer appropriate products and services.
• Handle customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism, efficiency, and empathy, providing solutions and escalating when necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the bank’s products, services, and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Balance cash drawers, cash recycler and vault daily, ensuring accuracy and accountability.
• Participate actively in branch operations and promotional activities.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior banking experience as a teller or in personal banking is a plus.
• Strong customer service orientation and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues.
• Proficient in basic computer skills.
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
