1st Advantage Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a full-time Mortgage Post Closer to support our Mortgage Department. Scheduled hours will be 40 hours per week between the hours of 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The Mortgage Post Closer will review closed mortgage, home equity and business loan file documentation within established time frames and in accordance with applicable investor guidelines and government regulations. The role also tracks, obtains and reviews trailing documents to ensure timely receipt. The Mortgage Post closer works with internal staff and third-party vendors to obtain missing documentation, correcting any identified errors, and ensuring the proper stacking order of document for imaging and the scanning of files.

Mortgage Post Closer Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Experience One year to three years of similar or related experience.
Education (1) A bachelor's degree, or (2) achievement of formal certifications recognized in the industry as equivalent to a bachelor's degree (e.g., information technology certifications in lieu of a degree).
Interpersonal Skills Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation. Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.

Talking - Effective verbal communication to convey and acknowledge receiving detailed or important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Average Hearing - Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information to communicate effectively.
Finger Dexterity - Using primarily just fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together to use office equipment such as phones, computers, scanners, and other office machinery.
Repetitive Motion - Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Average Visual Abilities - Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare and inspect documents, read email and computer screens, and operate office machinery.
Physical Strength - Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 25lbs. of force occasionally (Almost all office jobs).
Reaching and Stretching: Reaching and stretching, below the shoulders, to access files, checks, documents, or office equipment on and across shelves, counters, and desks.

Mortgage Post Closer Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Prepare electronic files with specific loan documents to be delivered to servicer.
- Reviews all closed loan documentation for accuracy and compliance, completes stacking order checklist and all scanning of mortgage files.
- Maintain monthly closed loan reports for first mortgages, home equities and business loans.
- Submits Deed of Trusts for electronic recording. Tracks documents mailed to recording offices for timely receipt of recorded documents. Back up for submitting Certificate of Satisfactions electronically when needed.
- Coordinate the funding of all first mortgages, funds, and posts all home equities and business loans.
- Process, reconcile and pay all outstanding invoices and purchase and funding advice on loans from Lenders Select.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Timely review, stacking and scanning of closed mortgages, home equities and business loans.
- Maintain monthly closed loan reports for first mortgages, home equities and business loans.
- Submitting Deed of Trusts for electronica recording.
- Electronically submit completed files to Midwest within 10 days of receipt from Lenders Select.
- Payments of applicable invoices; fundings for all mortgages, home equity and business loans.
