Job Title: LPN-Home/School Care Nurse
Location: Bloomingdale, New Jersey
Schedule: 7:00am to 3:00pm
Days: Tuesday to Friday
About Us:
1st Americare is seeking an RN or LPN to work with our clients in the Bloomingdale, NJ area as a home health nurse. In this role, you will provide high-quality care to our patient in a home setting, working overnight shifts to ensure their comfort and well-being.
This is a school-based nursing position where the nurse will begin their shift at the patient’s home. From there, the nurse will accompany the patient on the school bus to the school. After school, the nurse will travel back to the patient's home via school bus to complete the remainder of their shift at the patient’s residence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the patient's physician.
- Assist with activities of daily living and provide support with positioning.
- Collaborate with the patient's family to ensure effective care and comfort.
- Respond promptly to any medical emergencies or changes in the patient’s condition.
- Monitor the patient’s vital signs, manage medical equipment, and assess overall health status.
- Document all care activities, observations, and changes in the patient’s condition accurately.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active RN license in the state of New Jersey.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts as required.
