About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant to join our remote team with specific experience caring for patients with Asthma or Allergies. As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to patients over the phone and will be assisting healthcare professionals with a variety of remote tasks. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that patients receive the highest quality care possible. This is a part-time 1099 contract position with on-the-job remote training. Hours would be 20-24 hours per week. The hours for this position are anytime between 11 am and 8:00 pm EST.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a Medical Assistant program
- Certification as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in a medical office or clinic
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Ability to work with high call volumes, in fast paced environment
Responsibilities:
- Performing routine tasks, such as messages to providers and staff
- Processing medication refills and prior authorizations
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Scheduling appointments and coordinating patient care
- Providing excellent customer service to patients and their families
Skills:
As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will use your skills in customer service and telephone etiquette on a daily basis. You will be expected to have experience and knowledge relating to Asthma Allergy patients as well. Your ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals and provide exceptional patient care will be essential to your success in this role.
