About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Medical Assistant with extensive experience in a busy medical office or clinical setting to join our remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for processing prior authorizations for specialty medications called Biologics and ensuring that patients receive the highest quality care possible. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver efficient and effective patient care. This is a part-time 1099 contract position with on-the-job remote training.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant
  • Knowledge of biologic specialty medications and prior authorizations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a medical office or clinic
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
  • Ability to work with high call volumes, in fast paced environment

Responsibilities:

  • Performing routine tasks, such as messages to providers and staff
  • Processing medication refills and prior authorizations
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients and their families

Skills:

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will use your experience in a busy medical office or clinic to manage high call volumes, provide efficient patient care, and collaborate with healthcare professionals in a remote setting. Your ability to communicate clearly and effectively with patients and providers, combined with your proficiency in the prior authorization process will be critical to your success. You will also rely on your customer service skills and telephone etiquette to ensure that patients receive the highest standard of care in a timely manner. Experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment will be key to thriving in this role.


Hours of operation for this clinic are Monday - Friday 8a-5p Arizona Time - 11a-8p EST. No weekends or major holidays required.
