1st Care Home Health is seeking a dedicated and reliable LPN to work as a Clinical Intake and Insurance Specialist on a full-time basis in our Lynchburg, VA office. Competitive pay and benefits are offered with this position.
Job Responsibilities Include:
· Intake, acceptance, and inputting patients into the EMR for Home Health referrals to our agency.
· Insurance verification, insurance pre-authorization, and insurance re-authorization requests.
· Scheduling patients to be admitted to Home Health services. Contacting referral sources and patients to confirm scheduling and admission dates.
· Evaluation of referral documentation to determine the appropriateness of admission to Skilled Home Health Services. Ensuring our office has all appropriate physician referral documentation in order to proceed with the admission process.
Job Requirements:
· Valid LPN license in the state of Virginia.
· Healthcare office experience required.
· Interpersonal and strong communication skills required.
· Experience with Microsoft Office and working within electronic medical record systems.
