Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
- Buff floors and maintain floor care to ensure surfaces are clean and polished.
- Conduct custodial duties in both residential and commercial settings, ensuring high standards of cleanliness.
- Assist with industrial cleaning tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols.
- Carry out facilities maintenance tasks including minor repairs and upkeep of equipment.
- Act as a porter by transporting materials and supplies as needed throughout the facility.
- Ensure that all cleaning supplies are stocked and maintained properly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the appropriate personnel promptly.
Skills
- Proficiency in buffing techniques and floor care methods.
- Experience in custodial work with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures.
- Familiarity with residential painting is a plus.
- Knowledge of commercial cleaning standards and practices.
- Ability to maintain cleanliness in high traffic areas while ensuring minimal disruption.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality work.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
