The Loan Operations Supervisor reports to the Vice President of Loan Operations and oversees the daily operations of the Loan Operations Staff, providing hands on support to the Team. This position coordinates staff coverage, works to create efficiencies while enhancing existing procedures and creating new ones as necessary. The Loan Operations Supervisor must have loan operations experience, Supervisor experience, knowledge of SBA servicing and reporting and good problem-solving skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage the daily functions of the Loan Operations staff and provide backup processing for all loan operations functions including but not limited to:
- Creating new loan documentary/modifications in Sageworks
- Pre & Post Closing Laon Review
- Processing of payments
- Preparing payoff statements
- File maintenance requests
- Processing loan advances
- Recording and satisfaction of loan documents
- Insurance tracking
- Scanning of loan documents
- Board new/modifications/extensions loans on core
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting and boarding of SBA guaranteed loans of monthly 1502
- Create procedures and enhance existing procedures
- Review operation process to create operational efficiencies
- Assist with gathering requested items for Audit and Compliance and requests
- Maintain continuous lines of communication and keep the VP of Laon Operations updated
- Identify and recommend process improvements to improve manual processes and inefficiencies
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in Loan Operations with knowledge specific to loan documentation, new loan, setup , loan maintenance, research, loan customer service and general loan servicing experience
- Minimum 3 years of Supervisory experience
- Ability to collaborate and build morale and group commitments to the goals and objective - everyone succeeds
- Experience in developing, training team members
- General knowledge of lending regulations and their impact on Commercial, Consumer and Real Estate loan products
- Knowledge of CSI (Compliance Systems Inc) loan documentation software
- Knowledge of SBA Loan Servicing and remittance preferred
- Computer Skills: Advanced Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Strong oral/written communication skills required
- Ability to provide courteous, knowledgeable, and professional customer service in all forms of interaction
- Ability to assume responsibility, display initiative, exercise good judgement and make and act upon decisions independently with minimal supervision
- Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines

EDUCATION: Undergraduate degree, Associates Degree in finance/business or equivalent experience

The employee must have the ability to stay alert and attentive at all times and operate a computer, phone and essential equipment as required. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
