Job Description

Based on the requirements of our government contracts, you must be a U.S. Citizen and have or be able to obtain a secret security clearance. This position is on-site, located in Huntsville, AL.

1st Edge is searching for a motivated and experienced Frontend Software Engineer to join our development team. In this role you will work with the team to actively design and develop a variety of custom web-based products. You will be involved in the design and implementation of new user-facing features, translating designs and wireframes into high quality reusable code, and authoring automated tests.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

  • Agile software development in small, fast-paced groups
  • Development duties include full software life-cycle tasks: requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and integration

Qualifications

Essential skills include:

  • Strong proficiency with React and TypeScript
  • Experience with NextJS
  • Experience with git or similar source control system
  • Understanding of software engineering principles and best practices
  • Strong interpersonal skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently

Desired skills include:

  • Proficiency with Redux Toolkit
  • Experience with CesiumJS
  • Proficiency with web development deployment techniques
  • Proficiency writing automated tests for end-to-end testing
  • Experience with OWASP practices

Job Requirements

3-10 years of related experience

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen and have, or be able to obtain, a secret security clearance.
  • You must be willing to work on-site with the development team

Education Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related
