Title: Senior Database Developer/DBA
Location: Remote for Texas Residence
Job Overview:
The Senior Database Developer position works daily with the development teams on database logical/physical design and will be coding DB procs/functions/packages for new applications. It requires someone who is a senior level DBA, PL/SQL or Postgres programmer, with emphasis on Oracle DB. Good leadership, business analytics, oral and written communication skills, planning and coordinating abilities are critical success factors. Strong knowledge of database programming and security features are essential. If you enjoy wearing many hats, this is the place for you. A can-do attitude would be welcomed by DBA teams.
Job Responsibilities:
- In-depth database design and coding of stored procedures used by custom applications
- Document changes and follow change control processes
- Provide on-call support for the production environment
- Work with application development staff to enforce standards, quality assurance policies and procedures as it pertains to accessing corporate databases.
- In depth analysis of 1FB credit card portfolio for executive reporting
- Assist with investigating issues related to both new and legacy 1FB applications
- 80% coding and development. Supporting databases applications 20% DBA.
- Actively participate in Azure cloud development and migration projects using Postgres DB
Qualifications:
Education:
- BS/BA degree in Computer Science, Data Science or related technical field.
Experience:
- 7 years’ coding experience with Oracle with extensive PL/SQL or Postgres databases.
