JOB TITLE: Loan Servicing Specialist
GENRAL SUMMARY:
The Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist will be part of the Consumer Lending team. The
Consumer Loan Servicing Specialist will be responsible for processing all types of consumer loan
servicing requests, ensuring completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and quality member service.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must effectively carry out the essential duties and
responsibilities of this position in a manner that consistently demonstrates 1st Nor Cal CU’s
mission and core values in a positive manner.
Loan Servicing Specialist - Duties & Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates professionalism, reliability, adherence to Credit Union policy and
- Actively supports core values, mission, and vision statements, and demonstrates a
- Maintains a thorough knowledge of Credit Union consumer lending products, services,
- Routinely educates members/applicants on the features and benefits of Credit Union
- Ability to effectively present oral and written communications.
- Provide efficient and responsive service to members by maintaining an acceptable level
- Responds to member/applicants through various communication channels and provides
- Serves as an escalation point for member concerns and/or problems.
- Resolves member requests for loan servicing, ACH originations, payment disputes, etc.
- Process member transaction requests – Transfers/Pay by Phone/Account reconciliation
- Assist with Home Banking – Establish/Reset/Trouble Shooting
- Process Change of Address/Account Updates
- Process Fulfillments/Secure Email Service Requests
- Process Loan Payoff/Close Account Requests
- Work daily reports – as assigned
- Process Return payments
- Back up credit union DMV lien releases
- Back up SWBC insurance processing
- Back up GAP processing
- Back up Levy processing incoming/disbursements
- Adheres to all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the Credit Union, including
the Bank Secrecy Act and OFAC.
- Perform other related job duties as assigned
