Qualifications:
Applicants for Assistant Manager of Home Health Collections must be proficient in the following areas, with at least four years' experience as a team lead or manager:
- Medicare Collections
- Medicaid (including Bayou Health Plans) Collections
- Private Insurance Collections
- Worker’s Compensation Collections
- Excel and Word
Applicants for Assistant Manager of Home Health Collections must also have excellent communication and math skills, be a self-starter, be able to multitask and meet goals and deadlines. Previous Home Health experience a plus.
Job Description:
Applicants for Assistant Manager of Home Health Collections must be able to follow up on all insurance claims billed within 35 days of billing and every 4-21 days thereafter until paid in full. Post payments. Calculate, transfer and bill secondary insurance or patient balances. Resolve insurance denials and underpayments. Prepare appeals and corrected claims as needed. Balance cash posted with cash deposits at month end.
