The Front Desk Associate is the first point of contact for guests at 1st Place Hotel and plays a key role in ensuring a positive guest experience. Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Services: Greet guests upon arrival, check them in and out efficiently, and address any inquiries or requests.
- Reservations Management: Handle room reservations, modifications, and cancellations through the hotel’s booking system.
- Communication: Answer phone calls and provide accurate information about room availability, hotel amenities, and local attractions.
- Problem-Solving: Assist guests with concerns, complaints, or special requests, ensuring timely resolutions.
- Payments & Billing: Process payments and manage cash or credit card transactions securely.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate guest records, update the system with relevant details, and ensure proper documentation.
- Lobby & Front Desk Maintenance: Keep the front desk area clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
- Security & Compliance: Follow hotel safety policies and procedures, ensuring guest confidentiality and property security.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Prior experience in hospitality, customer service, or front desk roles is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in computer systems and hotel management software (e.g., Opera, Gearco, or similar).
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Availability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality is a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
