What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loan Operations Assistant II position at 1ST SUMMIT BANK?
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provides a wide range of administrative services including; customer and employee phone inquiries, filing, report generation and other duties as assigned.
- Attracts, advises and services existing and prospective customers through the Bank’s customer centered marketing plan:
- Informs customers of available Bank Services
- Directs and immediate response to customer requests or needs
- Prompt and efficient ability to process customer transactions
- Provides customers and Branch professionals with timely information directly or by phone
- Responsibilities for Loan Operations Department may include one or more of the following:
- Review and Update Insurance policies
- Working all aspects of the Escrow Function
- Loan Reconcilements
- Loan Payments
- Incoming Mail
- Consumer Loan File Review
- Verification of loan input
- Verification of AFT, ACH, HOLD Forms
- Verification of loan maintenance/escrow maintenance
- Responsible for Cash Collateral
- Input / maintenance
- Scanning / review of scanned documents
- Processing and quoting payoffs
- PMI, Life and Disability function needs
- Credit card function needs
- Loan payment reversals
- Assists in compiling data for various reports as directed by Loan Operations Manager with complete accuracy and in the specified time frames.
- Participates in Loan Operation Department’s long and short-term goals and objectives:
- Attends annual meeting to develop Departmental goals.
- Attends monthly staff meetings to discuss and evaluate progress on meeting goals and objectives.
- Performs other duties as assigned or directed.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITY:
This position does not supervise employees.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- High School or GED equivalent required.
- Associate’s degree in business or computer related field, or commensurate work experience preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year banking or escrow experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of loan documents preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to concentrate and perform responsibilities by maintaining a constant state of focus and mental alertness.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (i.e., files).
- Ability to communicate in person, through email or via telephone with customers and staff members.
- Ability to sit or stand for an extended period.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job may include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
