Job Summary
First Team Staffing is seeking a Maintenance Facilities Technician to maintain, improve, and support our facility. This role ensures a safe, well-maintained, and attractive work environment while assisting the Facilities Supervisor in preventive maintenance (PM), troubleshooting, and emergency repairs.
Pay: $25-$30 per hour (based on experience)
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Occasional OT required)
Availability: Must be available 24/7 for building emergencies
Key Responsibilities:
Service, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair building mechanical systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety devices, etc.).
Maintain facility appearance, including painting, housekeeping, and furniture arrangements.
Perform preventive maintenance and maintain maintenance logs.
Support grounds keeping activities and assist contractors.
Respond promptly to work orders and emergency repairs.
Coordinate projects with vendors and affected parties.
Serve as the primary contact for security needs and support security staff.
Support emergency response efforts and investigations.
Physical Requirements:
Walking, climbing, lifting (up to 75 lbs), carrying, pushing, pulling, driving, and visual inspection.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of facility maintenance experience.
High School diploma or equivalent (Technical Trade School completion)
OSHA30 Certification required.
Basic skills in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Ability to read blueprints and schematic drawings.
Preferred experience in welding, inventory control, painting, drywall, carpentry, and hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Basic computer skills.
Specialized Skills/Technical Knowledge:
Minimum 1 year of trade school with training in electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
Course certification in electrical and mechanical fields or equivalent work experience preferred.
Welding skills and fabrication knowledge.
Preventive maintenance expertise.
Knowledge of exterior facility maintenance.
Experience in hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
Carpentry, painting, and drywall proficiency.
Local Requirements:
Ability to restore building operations after a power failure.
Must be available for overtime, including weekends, as required.
Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
Must be able to assess and resolve emergency situations without guidance if necessary.
Education Requirements:
High School Graduate or equivalent.
Completion of Technical Trade School.
OSHA30 Certification required.
