Job Title: Pizza Supervisor
Job Summary: As a Pizza Supervisor, you will play a key role in managing both kitchen and front counter staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations. You will oversee the store’s daily activities in the Owner's absence and provide support when they are present. Your duties will include supervising food preparation, maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness, and ensuring exceptional customer service
Responsibilities:
Team Management:
·Supervise kitchen staff and front-counter staff
·Assign tasks effectively
·Motivate team members to maintain high standards of performance.
·Maintain a positive work environment
·Provide guidance and support for skill development
Production Oversight:
·Ensure the consistent preparation and presentation of high-quality pizzas.
·Monitor food preparation methods to maintain efficiency and minimize waste.
·Manage inventory levels and order ingredients to meet demand while minimizing waste.
·Optimizing profits by controlling food cost, production, waste, and labor
Customer Service:
·Maintain a customer-focused approach to service, ensuring orders are accurate and delivered promptly.
·Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and feedback in a professional manner.
·Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
·Responding to phone calls with a friendly demeanor demonstrating a thorough understanding of our food offerings.
Quality Assurance:
·Enforce food safety standards and sanitation regulations.
·Conduct regular inspections of equipment, storage areas, and workspaces.
·Address any issues promptly to maintain a clean and safe environment.
Training and Development:
·Provide ongoing training to kitchen staff on food preparation techniques, safety procedures, and customer service skills.
Closing Duties:
·Manage cash and ensure registers are accurately balanced at the end of the night.
·Ensure that all employees receive their proper share of tips at the end of the shift if tips are collected.
·Confirm that all equipment is turned off and lights are switched off.
·Verify all coolers and freezers are properly shut before locking the doors for the night.
·Inform the Owner of any important business needs, concerns, or issues that arose during the shift.
Qualifications:
·Previous experience in a supervisory role in a restaurant or food service establishment, preferably in pizza production.
·Strong leadership and communication skills.
·Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
·Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
·Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Education:
·High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
Additional Requirements:
·Food handler's permit or certification (preferred).
· Managerial experience in the food industry (preferred).
