Job Summary & Essential Job Functions
The Senior Contracts Administrator will play a key role in managing contracts by collaborating with executive leadership and project managers. This position involves overseeing and administering company contracts, including organizing proposal preparation and negotiating contract terms. Additionally, the Contracts Administrator will review all contract-related documents, such as teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements, government and commercial contracts, licenses, and other compliance materials. The role requires a wide range of functions, exceptional communication, and critical thinking abilities. The ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Independently manage company contracts with minimal supervision, handling the preparation, negotiation, acceptance, and management of government contracts and subcontracts.
- Offer leadership by applying industry best practices and provide reports to management on contract-related issues.
- Contribute to planning and policy development, particularly in documenting contract practices and creating communication materials.
- Ensure projects are in compliance with government contracting regulations.
- Support Project Managers by offering guidance on contractual requirements.
- Oversee the start-up and close-out process for assigned projects.
- Assist in reviewing and/or drafting non-disclosure and teaming agreements.
- Manage contract documentation, communication, and compliance with deliverables.
- Provide comprehensive procurement support to project managers and company officials, addressing contract terms, language, and relevant issues.
- Document proposed negotiation positions in cost models.
- Prepare negotiation and award documents for various contractual actions, ensuring alignment with solicitations, technical specifications, regulatory, and administrative requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related business discipline from an accredited institution or equivalent education, training, or work experience.
- 8 years of progressive experience in contract management, particularly in federal services contracting.
- Active Secret Clearance and eligibility for a Top Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Knowledge of FAR, DFAR, and federal contract types, as well as contract management phases.
- Experience with various Government and Commercial contracts.
- Strong communication and writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience with Unanet or similar accounting/project management systems.
- Familiarity with classified contracting.
