Job Summary

This position serves as a Senior Weapons Specialist, for PMA-201 Effects Deployment Office (FXDO), located at NAS Patuxent River, MD, capable of leading weapon-to-aircraft integration efforts and associated meetings, including testing coordination and troubleshooting efforts, and frequent briefings to Program Office leadership as well as support and coordination to all multi-service platform Program Offices employing the associated long-range strike weapons.

The position will provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME), warfare analysis, mission integration, Modeling & Simulation (M&S) support and architecture assessments, acquisition analysis/support, and analytic program support to the U.S. Navy and U.S. Air Force.

Applicants should possess a broad spectrum of knowledge of Navy and Air Force aviation platforms with regard to weapon integration efforts as well as mission planning systems/techniques to ensure a seamless transition to operational capability. The ability to team with a diverse set of current and new customers, as well as fostering synergistic relationships, is crucial for success in this role.

Essential Job Functions

• Operational support to specified meetings and lab events, as well as directed technical efforts.
• Provide subject matter expertise on current and future capabilities. 
• Analyze, manage, and support advanced systems events. 
• Analyze science and technology capability lifecycles, and transition of capability. 
• Coordinate and lead meetings, projects, Tiger Teams, and assist with project status, schedules, and milestones. 
• Draft, review, and organize weapon integration efforts toward development. 
• Coordinate and facilitate recurring or new meetings and reviews. 
• Prepare briefing materials for leadership when directed. 
• Represent leadership at various meetings and provide feedback and recommendations, as required. 
• Assist in coordinating Navy and Air Force fires capability development across multi-service acquisition and sustainment enterprises. 
  

Qualifications

• 10 years of Military active duty, weapons SME and/or military long-range weapons planner 
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical discipline 
• Top Secret Clearance required. As part of our pre-employment hiring process, background checks are performed on applicants without an active security clearance.
