Description

At 2-H Construction and Hatley Homes, Overview: 2-H Construction is a rapidly growing company seeking a General Manager of Operations. This role requires a seasoned leader with a strong blend of operational expertise and creative problem-solving abilities. The General Manager of Operations will lead a team of high-performing professionals, focusing on maximizing efficiency, productivity, and effectiveness across the organization. We are looking for someone with senior management experience in a dynamic setting to leverage their unique mix of business acumen and management expertise. The role requires outstanding organizational, communication, and leadership skills and an ability to develop innovative solutions that push boundaries. The director of operations will work closely with executives to strategize and develop long-term plans that usher in new levels of productivity and success for the company.


Objectives of the Role:

Collaborate with the CEO and senior management to set and drive organizational vision, operational strategy, and hiring levels.

Translate strategic initiatives into actionable steps for growth, implementing organization-wide goal setting, performance management, and annual operations planning.

Maximize operational efficiency and employee productivity while fostering a highly inclusive culture that enables team members to thrive and meet organizational goals.

Oversee effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and employee retention.

Ensure compliance with national and local business regulations, taking appropriate actions as necessary.

Responsibilities:

Analyze internal operations and identify areas for process enhancement, recommending solutions for improvement where necessary.

Implement and monitor day-to-day operational systems and processes that provide visibility into the goals, progress, and obstacles of key initiatives.

Draw on relationships with department heads, external partners, and vendors to inform operational activity and strategic goals.

Plan, monitor, and analyze key metrics for daily operations to ensure timely completion of tasks.

Develop financial and budgetary plans that align with short- and long-term objectives.

Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to achieve investor targets for growth and profitability.

Monitor performance with tracking software, taking corrective measures when necessary, and preparing detailed updates and forecasts.

Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.

Lead with integrity, establishing and maintaining a trusting, inclusive, and productive environment.

Adhere to company policies and standards, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Ten or more years in a senior leadership role within a field related to our industry.

Masterful organizational, communication, and leadership skills, demonstrated through previous professional success.

Superior knowledge of multiple operational functions and principles, including finance, customer service, production, and employee management.

Proven ability to plan and manage operational processes for maximum efficiency and productivity.

Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business administration or a related field.

Experience in developing budgets and strategic business plans.

Superior negotiation skills for both internal and external engagements.

Strong working knowledge of data analysis and performance metrics, utilizing business management software (e.g., SAP, ERP, CRM).
