A NYC-based innovative nonprofit organization focused on strengthening Jewish community and fighting antisemitism is seeking a fundraising superstar to lead all development activities with a focus on securing major gifts. The Chief Growth Officer (CGO) will be responsible for raising approximately $4M annually to start, with the goal of increasing revenue year over year.
The CGO’s success will directly impact the organization’s ability to combat antisemitism by helping to build a much bigger national stage for their outreach efforts as well as to increase the numbers of proudly affiliated Jews in the world. Top skills that are essential to success include organization, creativity and proactivity. Reporting to the CEO / Founder, the CGO will be a key member of the lean organization. Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Provide leadership in prospecting for new donors, further development of potential and current donors, and soliciting gifts using all available tools (build new and steward existing one-to-one relationships, online outreach via social media and email, etc.).
- Design and implement corresponding fundraising strategies that produce short-term results and facilitate revenue growth.
- Regularly monitor and report on progress against goals.
- Participate in the writing of grant proposals and grant submissions for foundation and major gift support.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop key storytelling opportunities and make sure that you have the materials you need to be successful.
- Participate in board meetings to help elevate the roles of board members as fundraisers.
