Retail Associate—Part-time

Our company offers innovative lab tests to aid in the prevention and early detection of cancers and chronic diseases. A pilot is underway with a leading supermarket chain in the Maryland region to promote and market these tests and provide pharmacist assistance with new pain-free small-volume blood collection devices. (These are cash-pay products, covered by Health Savings Accounts but not health insurance.)

We seek Sales Associates to greet store shoppers, inform them about our new test offerings, help with online ordering and payment, and direct them to the pharmacy for assistance with capillary blood collections.

The initial pilot (January –March) is mainly focused at stores in Montgomery County, MD with expected expansion throughout D.C., Maryland, and Virginia beginning in April. Typical hours are weekdays from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and weekends 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Ideal qualifications and duties:

· Successful experience in sales or marketing in a retail or consumer facing business

· Familiarity with medical product or services and ability to learn and answer questions about the benefits and limitations of blood tests for cancer screening, wellness, and nutrition.

· Address pricing questions (not covered by insurance)

· Letting our team know when it is time to order more supplies for the pharmacy

· Interest in the healthcare field

· Team player with a positive attitude

· Desire to learn and grow

· A passion for helping to save lives through early detection and prevention

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary, Contract

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 – 5 per week
