Location BMH Bronson Methodist Hospital South Campus Title Imaging Coordinator - Part Time 64Hrs/Pp, Benefit Eligible - Bronson Methodist Hospital Position Details: This Imaging Coordinator supports our Nuclear Medicine Department. Position Summary: Under physician guidance the Imaging Coordinator provides support in the operation of the Imaging department. Under general supervision, according to established procedures, and depending upon area(s) of expertise and assignment, the Imaging Coordinator is responsible for maintaining schedule and patient flow. Employees providing direct patient care must demonstrate competencies specific to the population served. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. 1 year clinical healthcare experience required. BLS certification Prior experience with intravenous access or completion of intravenous access training and competency within 1-month of hire. Computer knowledge including but not limited to hardware and applications Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity of end user business practices, to support the applications and workflows in a healthcare delivery environment. Must be able to complete the following job duties: Assist technologist with direct patient care Preparing patients for imaging exam, including but not limited to, escorting patients intravenous access, and reviewing safety questionnaires and medical records. Follow policies for MRI and radiation safety and protection. Communicate effectively with ancillary departments (e.g. Nursing, Transport, Facilities, PACS) Stock department and order supplies as needed Cleans and maintains equipment appropriately. Reports equipment problems to technologists or leadership. Demonstrates excellent customer service when answering the phone.
