What are the responsibilities and job description for the Volunteer: Board Member/Advisory Board Member position at 200 Orphanages Worldwide?
We come alongside US based nonprofits that serve vulnerable children and orphans around the world. Often, organizations struggle finding resources to fund building projects and infrastructure. We help provide funds for safety, shelter and sustainability. We've funded wells, dormitories, irrigation, livestock shelter, solar water pumps libraries, dining halls and repaired roofing and security walls. We've been funding projects since 2008 and look forward to many more projects so that the life of an orphan can be safe and secure.,
The 200 Orphanages Worldwide Board of Directors is vital to the continued success of the organization. The main purpose of the Board Member is to provide support for advancing the mission of the organization.
We are currently seeking three board members, a CPA, an attorney as well as a development volunteer board member. Each position requires 10 years experience in a professional capacity.
Our board is enthusiastic about helping orphans and doing what they can to move our mission forward.
Board meetings are quarterly. Other duties include ongoing review of partners and projects for approval, funds disbursement approval and other project management duties as needed.
All board members serve as networking resources to aid in coordinating donor development, fund raising activities and organizational management. Board members serve as ambassadors for 200 Orphanages Worldwide in their communities nd within his/her professional network. Seeking committed supporters, additional nationwide advisors, and volunteers to serve and to support all existing fund raising events and activities to further the mission and to support the objectives of the organization. The board is to support, be familiar with, and communicate with all partner organizations doing their part to make a difference.
Each board member makes an impact with their service to orphans and orphan care.
