Volunteer: Donor Development Consultant

We come alongside US based nonprofits that serve vulnerable children and orphans around the world. Often, organizations struggle finding resources to fund building projects and infrastructure. We help provide funds for safety, shelter and sustainability. We've funded wells, dormitories, irrigation, livestock shelter, solar water pumps libraries, dining halls and repaired roofing and security walls. We've been funding projects since 2008 and look forward to many more projects so that the life of an orphan can be safe and secure.,

Position Development Consultant

Reports To Executive Director

The 200 Orphanages Worldwide's Development Consultant is vital to the continued, long term success of the organization. The main function of the position to develop existing donors and develop new donors through sharing the 200 Orphanage story. Primary role is to raise awareness in your network hosting informational gatherings, through email and social media, phone contacts and any means available to grow our donor base.

Major Responsibilities

• Be informed about the organization's mission, services, policies and programs and partner projects.
• Have a thorough knowledge of current and completed projects and partners
• Connect with existing donors and develop new donors through fundraising campaigns and events to support the mission
• Develop and implement an Strategic Impact Plan.
• Network within your community, associates and friends to promote the mission and mobilize supporters for 200 Orphanages
• Introduce significant supporters to 200 Orphanages Worldwide through telephone calls, emails, mailings or face to face meetings.
• Organize fund raisers, speaking engagements and events to raise money for the organization.
• Prepare an update for the Board of Directors meetings on activities and fund raising plans
• Visit one of the orphanage projects if at all possible.
• Make personal financial contributions to the organization or the projects profiled
• Rigorously avoid any conflicts of interest, make any potential conflicts of interest known to the Executive Director.
• Regularly attend the meetings, subcommittee meetings and functions of the organization.
